CIEE is an organization that creates and administers programs that allow university students from the United States to study, work, and volunteer abroad.  The organization’s central headquarters are located in the United States.  CIEE has 60 study abroad programs in over 30 different countries, 800 volunteer projects, work programs in Australia, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand and teaching programs in China and Thailand.

One of the principal destinations for the students who study with CIEE is Seville (http://www.ciee.org/studyseville).  CIEE Study Center Seville offers a variety of study programs, which receive 600 North American students annually.

As of January 2004, CIEE Study Center Seville began to work with the intention of offering its support to Spanish students in search of an internship in the United States by helping with the procedures involved with the student’s visa.  Since then, there have been various Spanish students who have traveled to the United States to complete their internship.

Currently, CIEE is working with Spanish students at both the Universidad de Sevilla and the Universidad de Pablo de Olavide to provide information, to give students advice about locating internships, and to help subsidize expenses related to work visas.

Internship USA guides the student in the process of finding an internship, but does not search for the specific internship for the student.  Nevertheless, there are some occasions when CIEE receives offers from companies and is entrusted with aiding the selection process of candidates.
